One of the biggest advantages for me of living in Spain is the Dental treatment I received back in 2005.
In the UK I used to visit the dentist every 6 months, but I have always been troubled with abscesses in my gums. I had an abscess at the back of my mouth for years which was around an impacted wisdom tooth, and the dental practice and the dental hospital in the UK wouldn’t touch it as they said it was far too dangerous for me to have the tooth removed as it could cause me a paralysis down the side of my face. I lived with this for approximately 10 years, and learned to live on antibiotics, a really bad taste, and foul smell that emanated from my mouth, which no doubt others found disgusting.
