Open Terraces – a British Obsession?

One of the most common criteria for overseas buyers of Spanish property is the need for an open (or uncovered) terrace, ideally facing south-west……to soak up as much sun as possible….until as late as possibly in the day – phew, makes me hot just thinking about it!

Of course, it’s completely understandable in one sense – one of the main reasons to purchase a property in Spain for most of these buyers is to escape the harsh British and Northern European climate. But do these buyers really know what they are letting themselves in for?

What do I miss about the UK? – a woman´s perspective

Where do I start? I suppose it all depends on what type of person you are, and of course where you end up living in Spain. I moved here 4 years ago with my husband and a tribe of animals that under no circumstances would I have come here without, and apart from the fact I love my home in Spain, I miss so much about the UK.

I must explain, I live in a lovely villa with a pool, an outside kitchen which is a must in August, an outside bar, a pool table, a tennis court, and “yes” I live the most chilled life you could ever imagine, and my husband and I have been lucky enough to be able to work together from home.
