Interesting figures have revealed that in July this year, 69.43% of hotel rooms in Marbella and Estepona were occupied. This is compared to an occupancy rate of 70.81% during the same month in 2008.
In the first two weeks of August this year 87.83% of hotel rooms in Marbella and Estepona were booked, compared to a figure of 81% for the same period last year.
Hoteliers in the region are quietly confident of riding out the storm of the recession and have been encouraged by the hotel occupancy rates in Marbella and Estepona, as at this stage of 2008 the global financial turmoil had yet to take hold.
