Drink Water!    Fireworks in Puerto Banus

Puerto Banus was at the centre of the tennis world at the weekend. And I have to say that it was a very exciting place to be.

At this time of the year, Puerto Banus is always a magnet to a variety of visitors and holidaymakers, but with the Davis Cup quarter final between Spain and Germany being staged in the bullring in Puerto Banus, we saw an influx of tennis fans, bunting and flags for both countries taking part, a real sense of involvement in the local shops and department store, and an array of helicopters circling the port, to keep an eye on traffic and proceedings in general.
Even more exciting still was the tennis. After the Spaniard Robredo lost an epic 4 hour five setter to bring Germany level at 2-2, veteran Spanish player Ferrero went out with the weight of expectation on his shoulders. Thankfully he held his nerve, and ran out a comfortable winner in straight sets, to win the tie for Spain by 3 matches to 2.
