Polaris World are pulling out the stops this year.
To celebrate the recent opening of the 5 star Intercontinental Hotel at La Torre Golf Resort, Polaris World are offering a New Year´s Eve gala dinner, with entertainment provided by Woody Allen, who will be playing the clarinet with his New Orleans Jazz Band (no, I didn´t know he had a Jazz Band either!).
The world famous actor, director and scriptwriter is undoubtedly the star of the show, which will also feature a sumptuous dinner, free champagne and wine, supper and a DJ to help you boogie into 2009.
The special Polaris World menu will include delicacies such as Pyrenean goose fois gras, chamomile gelee, flat Galician oysters, wild baked turbot with artichoke ragout, beluga caviar and coconut and citronella soup, cured Japanese ox loin with black truffle and bitter cocoa juice, Victoria pineapple and champagne soup, and finally Minjari chocolate pallet…..oh, and coffee, tea and mignardise (whatever that is).
Bet you can´t wait. To a non-foodie like me, it sounds like someone will be showing off in the kitchen.
Anyway, I´m sure it will be fabulous, and will all taste wonderful.
The price? A snip at 500 euros per head.
