Spanish property bargains a
I had a chat this morning with a well-known Spanish property developer based on the Costa Blanca.
Despite the slowing market, this developer reported that following a recent round of price adjustments (i.e. reductions), his team were mad busy - to the point where they were likely to be recruiting extra staff to cope.
He believed that the prices of his Costa Blanca villas and apartments had now reached a level that were proving simply irresistible to consumers. He confirmed that he is likely to increase prices by 10,000 euros per unit on Monday, as he feels that the recent reductions were perhaps too severe, and that his product will still be attractive at the slightly higher prices.
The developer also confirmed that only 10% of recent buyers of his Spanish property bargains were UK based, citing his main clients as those living in the Netherlands, Belgium , Russia and Spain.

I just simply have to pour cold water on this article. Properties that are cheap attract buyers - but this is not the way to look at Spain. the Costa del Sol has sos much more to offer and is so much more developed. Prices on the Sunshine coast are so low that the Costa Blanca seems over-prced for what it is.
Pleaese, please dont confuse cheap with value. Invest in established locations and dont follow the ‘next big thing’. There is a reason why location, location, location is a mantra.
